Christopher Grabowski

Christopher Grabowski was born and raised in Delaware. While visiting Alaska in 1996, Chris became captivated by its beauty. That summer he made Anchorage his home.

As he frequented the Portage Valley and Denali National Park & Preserve, his appreciation for wildlife grew. Eventually he discovered that he could blend his wildlife photography with his ability to create in CS2. So in 2006, Chris moved to Houston, Alaska and began his pursuit to become an artist.

Chris’ medium is new and innovative; he uses digital photography and Adobe Photoshop CS2. His work is then printed giclee on canvas. CS2 allows Chris unlimited access to vibrant colors and a freedom to express his passion and emotions. Chris hopes the observer will feel and connect with the art as opposed to just viewing it. He believes there is more to the experience when you slow down, breathe it in and contemplate it.

Chris has participated in exhibits with the 2006 Art Working Benefit at the Ship Creek Center in Anchorage, the Alaskan Miniature Art Show at the Gallery in Palmer, Alaska and the grand opening celebration of Make-a-Scene in Wasilla, Alaska. His work is available at a number of galleries in Alaska. You may contact Chris through his website www.denaliclassics.net.
