Linda Henning paints primarily in acrylics in a loose, impressionistic style. Raised in Pennsylvania she began to study and produce art in high school. In college, Linda majored in Fine and Graphic Art in California and Oregon placing in student and juried exhibits.
Linda placed in several juried shows from 1973 to 1993. In 1983, she won 1st place, in the professional division, of “The 40-Mile Trail Loop” photography contest in Portland, Oregon. Her career in commercial printing and publishing interrupted her art, but she returned to painting in 2006 entering exhibits at the Art Pavilion at the Alaska State Fair, LoonAttic, Dorothy Page Museum in Wasilla, Vagabond Blues in Palmer, and the Alaska Garden & Art Festival. Her art has transformed from realism in the early years to an impressionistic style reflecting mood, light and shadow. Her work was used on the Alaska Garden and Art Festival poster, which she also designed.
Founder and owner of “Image Works Publishing”, Linda utilizes her extensive printing and art background to produce promotional printed pieces for businesses and non-profit organizations. Visit her website at www.imageworkspub.com.
