BLACKSMITHING CLINICs
"Blacksmithing Clinic"
July 23 and 24, 2011
On July 23 and 24, the Valley Arts Alliance and the Association of Alaskan Blacksmiths conducted a Blacksmithing Clinic at Arctic Fires Bronze in Palmer.
This “hands on” clinic covered tool making, joinery, forge welding, forging animal heads and more, and was taught by nationally recognized blacksmith and artist Brian Brazeal. The clinic was designed for beginners interested in learning blacksmithing, and advanced smiths seeking to improve their skills.
This clinic was funded in part by a generous grant from the Alaska State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
